The following are just some of the non-cake specialties that we bake. We had to include these -- they are favorites of our family and friends.
These are crunchy, shortbread-type cookies which have semi-sweet chocolate chips inside, and are topped with nuts. They are lightly sweet, crunchy, and buttery-tasting -- good with coffee or tea, and don't think you'll only be able to eat one or two at a time. :o
Another buttery, criunchy shortbread-type cookie. These cookies have a slight hint of spice, and are topped with chopped macadamia nuts. Again, wonderful texture and flavors.
This is cake*happy's version of a Russian Teacake/Mexican Wedding Cake. Ours has some non-traditional flavors and spices. The nuts in this variety are almonds. Despite the powedered sugar coating, they are not super sweet on the inside, so they've got that salty-sweet thing goin' on -- it's a bit difficult to stop at one. :o
This Ki cake variety has a macadamia nut base, some additional spices, and is dusted in powdered sugar. The mac nuts make these a little more indulgent than the other Ki cakes.
More or less a traditional chocolate chip cookie -- slightly soft-baked, full of chocolate chips, no nuts, and a special spice that sets it apart from other chocolate chip cookies.
One of the best oatmeal raisin cookies you'll ever taste -- we use a unique variety of spices that give these oatmeal raisin cookies a flavor that will make you want more. *The oatmeal means you could justify eating these for breakfast! :)
A variant of the chocolate chipload -- this cookie has lots of white chocolate chunks (for real, we looked hard to find these), some butterscotch chips for a contrasting flavor, and salted macadamia nuts for a contrasting texture. If you like white chocolate and macadamia nuts, you will fancy this cookie.
You probably know this one as a Snickerdoodle. Ours is slightly crisp and cinnamon-sugary outside; soft, cakey, buttery, vanilla-y inside. All the flavors and textures that'll remind you of home.
Based on the cinna-snicker-doo-da-day, this cookie has flaked coconut, and a hint of cake*happy's spice blend. It's buttery, coconutty, cakey yet a little chewy... yum, yum...if you like coconut, you'll like this one.
